Contract between efa sponsors and Leipziger trade fair extended until 2030
As a trade fair for electrical engineering and building systems, as well as light and energy, efa is the most significant industry platform for professionals from the electrical industry in Central Germany. The foundation has now been laid for this event to maintain this status long-term and continue to develop in Leipzig. In December, the efa sponsors and event host Leipziger Messe extended their cooperation agreement on organising this trade fair together until 2030.
efa is sponsored by the Saxony and Thuringia Trade Association of Electrical Engineers and Information Technologists together with the Saxony-Anhalt State Association of Electrical Trade Guilds. Both associations have been working successfully with Leipziger fair trade for many years. This trusting partnership provides a stable basis for efa, particularly in such uncertain times. In December, both the sponsors and Leipziger Messe signed the efa contract extension until 2030.

"In view of the coalition agreement by the new federal government with plans for the massive expansion of photovoltaics, electromobility and network infrastructure, the electrical trade is expected to play an even more significant role in the years to come. This is why the efa is of vital importance as a platform for information and discussion, especially for professionals here in Central Germany. We are thrilled about the extended contract and look forward greatly to continuing our work with Leipziger Messe on a long-term basis", explains Dr Gerd Böhme, Chairman of the efa Advisory Board, Deputy State Guild Master of the Saxony-Anhalt State Association of Electrical Trade Guilds and Vice President of the Central Association of German Electrical and Information Technology Trades (ZVEH).
The next edition of efa and HIVOLTEC will take place from 12 to 14 September 2023.
